The Champions League draw brought Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Inter Milan together in a very tough group, while Group H will see Paris Saint-Germain face Juventus.
The draw for the group stage for this season’s tournament took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will face RB Leipzig in a bid to defend their Champions League title this season.
Of the four teams in the Premier League that participated in this year’s tournament, Manchester City is arguably the toughest group, and will play against Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund and Copenhagen.
The Scottish Premier League champions will meet Real Madrid in Group F, while the Europa League finalist Rangers will play with Ajax, Liverpool and Napoli in a tough group.
The group stage of this season will run from 6-7 September to 1 and 2 November, with matches to be held in an intense period of nine weeks to accommodate the Winter World Cup in Qatar.
The final will be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, on Saturday 10 June 2023.
