Tottenham have declined to remark about reports that billionaire Jahm Najafi is set to start a £3.1bn takeover of the club.

Iranian-American Najafi is chair of athletics expense enterprise MSP Sports activities Money.

It added Najafi was weeks away from approaching Tottenham proprietor Joe Lewis and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
