Nottingham Forest have built their 22nd signing of the summer time by bringing in right-back Serge Aurier, topic to visa approval.

The Ivory Coastline captain can sign up for the Town Floor club just after the closure of the transfer window as his agreement with Villarreal had expired.

Aurier put in 4 decades at Tottenham following arriving from Paris St-Germain for about £23m in August 2017.

He left Spurs after his contract was terminated by mutual consent in 2021.

Aurier was element of the Tottenham side that attained the 2019 Champions League final, exactly where they lost to Liverpool.

He produced 24 appearances for Villarreal past season, including five in the Champions League.
