Hwang Ui-jo has wrapped up a move to Nottingham Forest, with the City Ground team agreeing a fee for South Korea today. It is understood that he will allow the player to play on loan for the Greek team Olympiacos for the current season, before returning to the English Premier League and fighting for a place in the first team.

The 29-year-old is moving to Forest after club president Evangelos Marinakis funded the player’s move, and it comes at a time when Forest is among the Premier League’s busiest in the transfer market.

With only a week left out of the window, Forrest moved quickly to sign a 3-year deal with the Korean, for a fee of around £4m.

Hwang Wei-ju scored 29 goals in 94 matches for French club Bordeaux. Before that, he played in Japan with Gamba Osaka, scoring 23 goals in 59 matches.

At the international level, the striker has scored 16 goals for his country, and has a growing reputation in Asia to be one of the best strikers and players on the continent in general.
