Barcelona have signed Spain left-back Marcos Alonso.

Alonso, who has not showcased for the Blues this season, has now agreed to be part of Barca on a one particular-12 months deal with a release clause of 50m euros (£43.3m).

Soon after becoming a member of Chelsea from Fiorentina in 2016, he helped them gain the Premier League and Champions League, scoring 29 goals from 212 appearances.

Alonso, whose father performed for Barca from 1982-1987, came by means of the Real Madrid academy prior to becoming a member of Bolton in 2010 and transferring on to Fiorentina in 2013.

He is the third defender to join the Spanish giants on a absolutely free transfer from the Leading League this summer.
