Erling Haaland sent the world of football into ecstasy after the Manchester City striker scored a hat-trick in two matches.
The former Dortmund player broke a Premier League record by scoring nine goals in his first five matches, surpassing former City striker Sergio Aguero and Mick Quinn, who both scored eight.
Haaland’s ruthless display has sparked a host of responses across social media, leaving some fans dazed and others simply stunned by the fear that Norwegan will terrorize the Premier League for many years to come.
Haaland now owns several Premier League hat-tricks such as players like Sadio Mane, Son Heung-min, Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale, all in his first five games.

Others also couldn’t help but compare him to other Premier League legends, with one fan tweeting that “Haaland is who Ronaldo thinks he is”.
Not only players were compared, but teams were compared too, with Haaland’s nine goals being higher than the combined goals of Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Ham combined.
There is a real feeling within the federation that Erling Haaland will score every time City reach the final third.

Some fans have also been struck by the realization that with Norway not qualifying for the next World Cup, Haaland will have a five-week break to recharge before he can ‘reload’ for the second half of the season.
With City showing no signs of slowing down, Haaland’s scoring spree could continue, leaving fans wondering if the striker broke football as well as social media.
