Chelsea failed with the third offer to sign the Frenchman

Chelsea failed to make a third bid for the Leicester City defender Wesley FofanaAccording to the Telegraph.

The giants of West London are determined to take down the Frenchman from the Foxes, but they have not yet met his asking price.

While the Foxes are said to be claiming around £85m, the Blues are reluctant to pay more than £70m up front for the defender.

according to telegraphA new bid of £70m plus add-ons was made to Fofana, but the offer was quickly turned down by the Foxes.

The additions could potentially raise the deal to £80m, but it does include Chelsea winning the Premier League and the Champions League.

Neither will be easy to achieve in the near future, considering that the Blues are now going through a period of transition after losing key players.

Chelsea have had a poor start to the current season, and they are currently in the bottom half with four points from three games.
